Together with similar organizations from 95 countries all over the world, IAN took part in the global campaign organized by IRCT for commemorating 26th June - United Nations International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.
IAN Centre for Rehabilitation of Torture Victims organized various manifestations in order to draw public attention to this day and issue of torture. IAN staff conducted a performance in the centre of Belgrade. One IAN activist spent some time in cage to show symbolically that torture is still present in many countries in the world and that there are some UN member countries that have not yet signed the UN Convention against torture. Then, other IAN activists wearing T-shirts with big letter T, an official symbol of IRCT, freed him. Also, IAN volunteers distributed flyers with information about the Centre for Rehabilitation of Torture Victims (CRTV) and types of help that torture victims can get in it.
In the cultural centre REX, IAN organized a public debate Torture Victims - Rehabilitation, Reparation and Personal experience.
