This year for the first time the competition was international since it hosted 10 pairs from Serbia and Croatia who passed qualifications organised in their local libraries. Their task was to respond to 30 questions in online quiz using internet to search for information. The winners were granny Ana and her granddaughter Anita from Vinkovci, Croatia, who won a laptop computer. The second prize, a digital camera, went to the hands of granny Zorica and her grandson Djordje from Bačka Palanka, Serbia. |

Grandparents together with their grandchildren had an opportunity to demonstrate their IT skills acquired through the courses organised in partner libraries within the project. The seniors attended e-skills trainings where they got introduced with the virtual space of the internet and the possibilities it offers. The competition encouraged friendships between library members in both countries. It also contributed to the promotion of intergenerational cooperation in raising the level of digital literacy among seniors who are among the most excluded when the use of IT technologies is concerned. |
