Who are our clients? Our clients are individuals who have lost their physical and psychological health, their loved ones, relatives, friends, their home, place of origin, neighbours, their safety, ability to work, as well as their ability to provide for themselves. However, the most difficult losses to bear are those invisible and immeasurable ones, from the intimate psychological sphere of victims, linked mainly with the loss of their capacity for emotional exchange, inability to experience personal and family happiness, loss of confidence in institutions, other people and themselves, as well as the loss of dignity and hope. In the past six years (January 2000-December 2006), we had a total number of 5524 clients (641 in 2006), among which 2204 were direct victims of torture, and the rest were either members of their families (who experienced some form of war-related trauma themselves), or other victims of war-related trauma, who were mostly refugees. An additional 2149 individuals were visited by our mobile teams, either in collective centres in Serbia or in B&H. At the present moment, IAN CRTV receives approximately 800 clients per year.
