Press conference on the occasion of publishing the Report of the UN Special Rapporteur on torture

On 5th March 2019, on the occasion of publishing Nils Melzer’s Report of the UN Special Rapporteur on torture (341 downloads ) ,  in the Media Center was held a press conference, organized by the Platform of Organizations for Cooperation with UN Mechanisms for Human Rights. At the conference were outlined the findings that Mr. Melzer stated in his report, the unsatisfactory level of compliance with international standards, the inadequate provision of protection to victims of torture, and the insufficient prevention of abuse and torture in the Republic of Serbia.
