Project was implemented in partnership with Global Initiative in Psychiatry GIP from Netherlands as a project leader. As a part of project activities, IAN in partnership with GIP upgraded professional capacities of community mental health centre “Medijana”, first institution of its kind in Serbia, through education and transfer of experiences from Netherlands. High standards of the project are confirmed through development of Guidelines on community mental health, written by prominent experts. Project team is especially proud of activities based on empowering user movement in Serbia through various forms of education, direct assistance and networking. Through empowering users, we are getting closer to our vision where service providers, together with users, are jointly developing modern services that are more accessible, efficient and cost-effective than current.
