Case management for better treatment efficiency – pilot project

The project contribute to improvement of HIV treatment efficiency by developing and providing ongoing peer support in Clinic for infective and tropical diseases (HIV/AIDS department) of Clinical centre of Serbia to people living with HIV(PLHIV) based on individual case management. The project particularly focus on newly diagnosed, treatment naive patients, but also support those who are already on treatment with their adrerence. Referral procedures will be developed in collaboration with voluntary counselling and testing centres in Belgrade, but also with other services available for PLHIV provided by NGOs. These procedures should result in increased number of diagnosed people actually go to Clinic for confirmation test and start with treatment . Support for the staff working at the Clinic will be provided in terms of management and procedures development for monitoring and evaluation of treatment and PLHIV treatment satisfaction. The project intends to develop the model of support to PLHIV necessary for increasing efficiency of HIV treatment in Serbia.

Project is implemented in partnership with association POTENT and is funded by European AIDS Treatment Group EATG.
