First training for volunteers and first responders/field workers of relevant organizations (Caritas, HELP, CIM, SKRUG, Praxis) was held on April 22nd and 23rd in Belgrade.

During the first day of training, GIZ representative presented BMZ CSO component “Returning to new opportunities “, and other partners involved in service provision to returnees through readmission agreement presented their projects and available services. In addition, partners exchanged their field experiences and challenges in working with this target groups.

During second day of training, IAN experts provided sessions on experiences of trauma and torture, consequences of these experiences, basis of provision of psycho-social and psychological first assistance, characteristics of different vulnerable beneficiary groups, mental health problems among returnees, and burn out syndrome and stress among helpers.
